值得收藏的英语四六级翻译里超级有用的高级词汇（一）

         汉译英翻译还是有套路的，多看几遍时政翻译就会发现有很多高频词。这次再总结一些常用词的加分表达，希望可以帮到广大的朋友！

1. 增加不用increase！

这类词盘点的有很多啦，而且替换词也很多。

一般的增加就有increase和rise，这里看看我总结的五个表示急剧增加的单词：

①multiply 大幅增加；乘，使相乘

In warm weather these germs multiply rapidly.

在温暖的天气里这些细菌会迅速繁殖。

②upsurge 急剧上升，猛增

An upsurge of/in violence in the district has been linked to increased unemployment.

该地区暴力事件的猛增与失业率上升有关。

③mushroom 迅速增长；迅速发展

The number of computers in schools has mushroomed in recent years.

近年来，学校里计算机的数量迅速增长

④skyrocket 猛涨，飞涨

Housing prices have skyrocketed in recent months.

近几个月房价飞涨。

⑤hike （价格或费用的大幅）提高，增加

The recent hike in train fares came as a shock to commuters.

最近火车票的涨价让通勤者们十分震惊。

2. 减少不用decrease！

①lessen 减少，降低，减轻

A healthy diet can lessen the risk of heart disease.

健康饮食能降低患心脏病的危险。

②slash 大幅削减，大幅减少（金钱、工作等）

Prices have been slashed by 50 percent!

价格直降50%！

③cut down on 减少, 削减

We must cut down on the amount of material we use

我们必须削减原料使用量。

④pare down 削减； 减少

It will be necessary to pare this budget down considerably.

有必要大大地削减这笔预算。

3. 改变不用change！

①shift

忽视生态环境保护的状况明显改变。

……there has been a clear shift away from the tendency to neglect ecological and environmental protection.

②transform

坚决改变现在的状况。

……taken strong action to transform the present situation.

还有transform的名词形式transformation哦~

人类社会正处在一个大发展大变革大调整时代。

Humankind has reached an age of great progress, great transformation and profound changes.

加快转型 accelerate transformation

转变经济发展方式 transformation of the economic development pattern.

4. 重视不只是concentrate on和pay attention to！

①highlight

The report highlights the need for improved safety.

那份报告强调了加大安全力度的重要性。

②take ... into account

A good architect takes into account the building's surroundings.

一位好的建筑师会考虑到建筑物的周边环境。

③put emphasis on

Put emphasis on the practice and use of English.

强调英语的实践和运用。

④give (top) priority to

高度重视传播手段建设和创新……

We will give priority to improving means of communication and to creating new ones……

⑤focus on

Tonight's programme focuses on the way that homelessness affects the young.

今晚的节目着重讨论无家可归的现象如何影响年轻一代。

5. 体现反映不只是show和reflect！

①demonstrate

反映一个国家的自信程度 demonstrate a country's self-confidence.

②manifest

Lack of confidence in the company manifested itself in a fall in the share price.

对公司缺乏信心表现为股价下跌。

③embody

She embodied good sportsmanship on the playing field.

在运动场上，她展现了优秀运动员的风采。

④feature

The hour-long programme will be updated each week and feature highlights from recent games.

这个一小时的节目将每周更新，重点介绍近期比赛的精彩部分。
