         每个公司都会有自己的营销手法，这是壮大自己公司最直接的效果，所以，营销手段的运营得当，最大程度上可以帮助到你公司的蓬勃发展！

Jenny:  How have the preparations for the new marketing campaign been going ? 

           新营销活动的准备工作进行得怎样了? 

Nick: Good so far, but we still need to make some more group decisions before we canproceed any further. 

              迄今为止还算不错.但是在我们进一步行动之前.我们还需要一些群体决策. 

Jenny: What about? 

            关于哪方面的? 

Nick: Who is our target market, what forms of media to use in the campaign as well as the budget.

            谁是我们的目标市场?在营销中使用什么形式的媒介手段.以及预算.

Jenny: Well, I already know that management says we are aiming at the18-25 year old age groupand they want to definitely use television advertisements. 

            嗯.我知道管理层说我们针对的是18-25岁这个年龄段.而且他们明确指出想要电视广告这种媒介手段. 

Nick: But what about the budget? Television advertisements are the most expensive. 

        但是预算怎么样?电视广告是最贵的. 

Jenny: Leave that to management to decide. 

           那就留给管理层去决定吧. 

Nick: So what should I tell the staff in my department? 

           那我要对本部门的员工交待些什么? 

Jenny: Have the people in your department prepare some ideas for a television and magazine based media marketing campaign. 

           让他们准备一些以电视和杂志为媒介的营销活动的点子. 

Nick: Ok. We should be able to give you a briefing on what ideas we have come up with in a few days. 

            好的.过几天我们会给你一份我们想出的点子的汇报. 

重点释疑：

1. Good so far, but we still need to make some more group decisions before we canproceed any further.

这里的'proceed'需要注意一下.'proceed'在表示"继续做"这层意思的时候,有两种含义.第一种是"继续做正在从事或已经开始的事情",和with搭配.比如,

We're not sure whether we still want to proceed with the sale. 我们不确定是否还要继续减价促销.

Work is proceeding slowly. 工作进展缓慢.

另一个意思是"接着做,继而做另外一件事情",和to搭配.

He outlined his plans and then proceeded to explain them in more detail. 他简单介绍了他的计划,接着又进行了较详细的解释.

Having said she wasn't hungry, she then proceeded to order a three-course meal. 她先说不饿,接着却要了一份三道菜的大餐.

2 .Leave that to management to decide.

"leave sth to sb"就是把某事交给某人来做的意思,也可以指把选择权留给某人.

You can leave the cooking to me. 你可以把做饭的事交给我.

'Where shall we eat?' 'I'll leave it entirely (up) to you(= you can decide).' "我们上哪儿吃去?""我全交给你来决定好了."

3. Ok. We should be able to give you a briefing on what ideas we have come up within a few days.

Briefing: the detailed instructions or information that are given at such a meeting 详细指示;详情介绍 countable uncountable 

Captain Trent gave his men a full briefing. 特伦特队长给了他的部属详细的指示.

a briefing session/paper 任务发布会╱文件

come up with something: to find or produce an answer, a sum of money, etc. 找到(答案);拿出(一笔钱等) 

She came up with a new idea for increasing sales. 她想出了增加销售量的新主意. 

How soon can you come up with the money? 你什么时候能拿出这笔钱?
