商务英语学习: 提高产品销售量

         总所周知，销售的好坏是一家企业兴衰的晴雨表，每个企业都把提高产品的销售量作为企业的首要任务，今天我们来学习一下，在商务英语中，提高产品销售量有哪些英语话术是值得我们学习的。

A: It's difficult for us to push the sale of your digital cameras nowadays. 

    如今想要提升你数码相机的销售量很难啊.

B: What seems to be the problem? 

    问题在那里?

A: Price.Frankly, your price is on the high side. 

   价格.说实话,你们的价格偏高.

B: As you may have noticed,the price skyrockets in raw materials,so we're forced to adjustour prices accordingly. 

    你可能已经注意到,原材料价格猛涨,所以我们也不得不相应地调整价格.

A: I'm sorry to say we have to close business at that price. Aren't we old friends?We've had avery good business relationship over the past years,I suggest you make an appropriatereduction. 

    很抱歉,我们只能按那个价格销售.我们不是老朋友了吗?过去几年我们合作一直都很愉快,我建议你适当地降低价格.

B: Well,in view of our good cooperation over the past years. Let's meet each otherhalfway;I'll make a reduction by3%. 

    那好吧,考虑到我们过去几年里都合作愉快,我们各让一步,我会将价格下调3%.

重点释疑：

1.Frankly, your price is on the high side.

On the high side: slightly too high 稍偏高

I like the house but I think the price is on the high side. 

我喜欢这幢房子,但价格太高了些.

Side给人的感觉就是偏向哪一边,那么我们还可以说on the big/small/tight side(偏大/小/紧).

例句:These shoes are a little on the tight side. 这双鞋略有点紧.

那么还有其他相似的表达吗?

2.the price skyrockets in raw materials

Skyrocket: (of prices, etc. 价格等) to rise quickly to a very high level 飞涨;猛涨

the price skyrockets=the price has gone up a lot in price

意思相近的表达还有"go through the roof".

go through the roof:(of prices, etc. 价格等) to rise or increase very quickly 飞涨;激增

House prices here have gone through the roof. 这里的房价涨得出了格.

"skyrocket"和"go through the roof"都指价格的大幅上涨,通常是在短时期内的.

3.so we're forced to adjust our prices accordingly

...adjust sth accordingly:根据...适当地调整

Adjust大家都熟悉,就是"调整"的意思.比如: Adjust your language to the age of your audience. 要根据听众的年龄使用相应的语言.

Accordingly: 照着;相应地 

We have to discover his plans and act accordingly. 我们得找出他的计划,照着办.

4.in view of our good cooperation over the past years

in view of something: considering something 鉴于;考虑到;由于 

In view of the weather, the event will now be held indoors. 由于天气的缘故,这项赛事将在室内进行.

也可以说"in light of",意思相近.

He rewrote the book in the light of further research. 他根据进一步的研究重写了那部书.

5.Let's meet each other half way

meet sb halfway:和某人妥协,迁就,迎合 reach an agreement with sb by giving them part of whatthey want 

I can't agree to all your suggestions, but I am prepared to meet you halfway. 我不能同意你所有的条件,但是我可以做出些让步.

这个短语在商务场合中很常见,因为商务谈判中很多时候都涉及到"让步,迁就他人".

其他地道的表达方法还有:

1.Let's work out a position where we are both happy with the outcome. 我们最好能商讨出一个大家都满意的结果.

2.Let's have a win-win situation. 我们最好能达成双赢的局面.
