I Will Get There

赵家琪

I believe, I will get there someday, where was always in my dreams.

                                                                                           ---Prewriting

I.

Sitting down on the floor and leaning against the cold wall, I look out of the window. A sight was caught in my eyes: So kind a lady is teaching her baby to walk. One step, two steps…This reminds me of the experience of my learning English.

At the first English class, which was also the first class for my junior middle school, I set my first step in English world. Although I hadn't studied English a little, I still stood up and introduced myself to my classmates in English, under the encouragement of Miss. Zhang.

Gradually, I thought it very funny to have an Oral English lesson every week, and I got to enjoyed the foreign teacher's speaking.

The door of my interest to learn the beautiful language, opened.

 Will.

Where there is a will, there's a way.

Up to now, I have learned English for five years already. Maybe I'm not the best learner in my class, and not the best speaker, either. But I must be the most enthusiastic about English, and I always keep a strong will to learn it well. Actually, I don't mind the result of a thing, but the process. I tend to believe that if a thing is worth doing, it is also worth doing well.

So don't be mean to your will, with it, breaking the winds and waves sail forward!

 Get.

It is believed that "Get" is a process, like learning to walk; it needs a lot of practice.

As the saying puts it: Practice makes perfect. That's why all of my teachers asked me to write more, listen more, speak more and read more. At the beginning, I didn't understand the meaning of practice; I just finished the homework, and just read, regardless of speaking. Then I found that when I want to say something, my brain was completely blank, and I couldn't say a word at all. It changed until I developed a habit to try my best to speak as much as possible, and state my opinion in English bravely.

If I persist long enough, I will win!

There.

There, where I dream about, where I'm marching on, where I'm struggling for, where I will arrive.

Although along the road to there I will meet many obstacles, all I should do is to go straight bravely, without hesitation.

Go for it! No matter how!

I will get there! I will keep on striving until I succeed to reach my goal!
