英语奇闻：原来葡萄酒也可以五颜六色

Spanish startup Gi·k used anthocyanin, a natural pigment in the grapes' skin and unveiled the world's first blue wine. It became a great commercial success.

西班牙初创企业Gi·k运用花青素（葡萄皮里的一种天然色素）推出了世界上首款蓝色葡萄酒。这款葡萄酒在商业上取得巨大成功。

 

Now other Spanish wineries are also using similar technology to create all kinds of unusually-colored wines.

如今其他西班牙酿酒厂也在用类似技术酿造出各种颜色不同寻常的葡萄酒。

 

 

Like Bodega Santa Margarita, offers green, orange and pink wines.

譬如圣玛格丽塔酒庄，就推出了绿色、橘色和粉红色葡萄酒。

 

All these winemakers are relying on people's curiosity to reach a whole new customer base. But lawmakers don't like change very much.

所有酿酒商都在依靠人们的猎奇心理以网罗全新的客户群。但是立法者并不太喜欢这一改变。

 

So Gi·k have been forced to stop labeling Gi·k as a wine. Instead, they had to label it as "other alcoholic drinks" to adapt the product to the current legislation.

因此Gi·k被迫去掉了Gi·k的葡萄酒标签，不得不改成“其他含酒精饮料”类别，以使产品适用于当前法规。

 

Despite such hurdles, it's unlikely that the wine color revolution will be stopped.

尽管存在这些障碍，但葡萄酒颜色的变革不太可能会停止。

 

People are drawn to unusual colors like blue and pink, even if it does make the wines look more like energy drinks, and most of them don't really care about technical details like the category the wines are being sold in.

即便诸如蓝色或粉红色这样的颜色会使得葡萄酒看起来像功能饮料，但是人们仍会被这样不寻常的颜色所吸引，而且多数人也不甚在意关于葡萄酒按何种类别销售的技术细节。
