cashier [kæ'ʃɪr] n. 出纳员；收银员 vt. 解职；丢弃

-less表示：“没有...的”，一般加在名词后面，构成形容词。

所以说，cashier-less的意思就是“没有收银员的”。

例如：

self-service 自助

self-drive 自动驾驶

unmanned的意思是“无人的”，大多时候用来形容无人机（unmanned aerial vehicle），无人汽车，无人宇宙飞船（unmanned spacecraft）之类的，用来形容超市不太合适。

我自己偏向self-payment/ self-service stores 这个翻译，便捷自助就是“无人超市”的最大特点嘛。
