小K迫不及待地对外教说

“Let's knock the door "

外教疑惑地看着小K回答到

别这样，难道你想被逮捕吗？

小K百思不得其解...

"Knock the door" ≠ “敲门”

如果你跟老外说"knock the door"

人家会以为你要“破门而入”

怂恿人家与你一起入室抢劫呢

敲门的正确说法是"knock on/at the door"

就像美国摇滚诗人Bob Dylan那首歌

少了个介词意思完全不同哦

"Answer the door" ≠ “回答门”

虽然answer the door有 "answer" 

但却和“回答”没有什么关系哦

"answer the door" 的正确意思是“去开门”

也可以理解为我们常说的“开门迎客；应声开门”

“Samuel跑下楼去开门了。”

"Open doors" ≠ “开门”

把 "open doors" 理解为“开门”就错啦

它是有“敞开心扉；打开心门”的意思

但它还能表达为某人职场上

“创造了某种就业机会”

"If the project is successful, it could open doors for my career."

“如果这个项目成功了，它将为我的职业生涯来带很大机遇。”
